Women2Drive

I don't mean to go all feminist on you here, but some issues are important to support.

After IT security consultant Manal al-Sharif posted this video of herself on YouTube, she was arrested and held for 9 days - for driving a car!?!

What is so sickening, is that the governments around the world is so afraid to speak out to Saudi Arabia because of their oil.  So when the government refuses to speak out, let at least us "commoners" do so!

Friday, women in Saudi Arabia, the only country in the world where women are not allowed to drive, will get behind the wheel and sadly risk arrest for doing so.  Support their cause and let the Saudi Arabian officials know the world is watching.

Check out the link for Women2Drive on Facebook for up to date information.

Here is how you can support them:
  • Attend the Washington, DC Women’s Drive to Drive Rally at the Saudi Embassy  tomorrow, Location: Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia
    601 New Hampshire Avenue, NW
    Washington, DC 20037
Time: ‎12:00-4:00 PM Wednesday, June 15th
